Monitor... fuck

Yeah.. yesterday my monitor died. So now I'm without the monitor of my desktop .. no Gentoo.. so I can't finish the installation on my laptop.. Shit.. Tomorrow I'm going to Venezia.. See ya guys

Bad Morning

Shit.. bad morning.. bad marks in electronics (9/10) and automatic systems with 9.5/10... yeah.. I'm was trying to catch 10/10 in this two disciplines.. Yesterday was a very boring day nothing interesting. Well let's see this afternoon.. I think I'm very close to put Gentoo on my laptop but probably I'll not have enough time today to process the whole job. See you...

Linux-based afternoon

Great.. at last I found an afternoon with nothing to study for tomorrow and nothing to do.. so at 2pm I said: "come on, let's start doing something interesting"... a few minutes later I was in front of my monitor studying how LVM works.. it's great! Just what I was searching for my notebook. Yeah.. infact I was thinking in tha last days how to devide my hard disk for Gentoo Linux.. I heard some time ago about LVM (Logical Volume Management) and his characteristics. But I want to do something different... I want to set the / partition as a LVM logical partition, but for this issue I must use an initrd kernel. Well I have a little problem .. I don't know how to create and manage an initrd kernel :-) .. so let's start studying this before trying to do anything else with LVM.

Really Good Day

Yeah... today I have got a nice day. The morning has started very well, with a super-high mark in telecommunication (10/10) ;-).. then 8/10 and 8.5/10 in electronics.. And how about this afternoon? I wa very tired but unfortunately I had to study Story for tomorrow.. this evening.. athletics, and now I'm waiting a friend in chat. I burned the Gentoo 2004.3 release and I booted it on the notebook just to view the new features.. wow it boots with linux 2.6.9 very well.. How about Debian? Here are the bad news.. the dd must fix 134rc bugs before the stable release.. and it's not so easy.. we can do just on thing: wait. In this minutes I'm searching docs on vixie-cron... yeah... I want to use a little bit of crontabs to process in background the sync of the gentoo portage tree and the syncronization of my clock system with an atomic one.

Gentoo 2004.3

Great this morning the Gentoo developer team has released the third main release of 2004: 2004.3 .. I've already started the download ;-) . In the next days I'm gonna try Gentoo on my notebook .. and then I'll blow you away ;-) ... Now I'm using Gentoo only on my desktop since October.... but it's a great system and I'll replace Debian with Gentoo on my notebook too!
